The Bennett's Creek Little League General Membership Meeting will be held on September 21st at 6:30 PM in the Driver Boardroom.
This meeting is held every year for the purpose of electing the Board of Directors for the coming 2010 season, receiving reports, and reviewing the Local Rules. Any adult person actively interested in furthering and supporting the objective of Bennett's Creek Little League may attend.
All-Star pictures will be taken on Sunday, July 26th at 2:00 PM!
All teams need to be in uniform for a group picture of the BCLL All-Star teams for the 2009 Banner. Individual and team pictures will be taken afterwards.
Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes for the players to change into if you are returning your uniforms!

We’re pleased to announce nominees for board position vacancies:
From August 4th through the 7th, at 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM, join Bobby McKinney and retired Major League Baseball pitcher Jimmy Anderson of McKinney Baseball when they host a baseball clinic for Boys and Girls aged 8 through 12. Onsite registration is $99.00. The clinic will be held at the Driver Sports Complex on Field #1 (Minor Field).

BCLL hosted this year’s baseball District All-Star Tournament. Games were held from Saturday, June 28th to July 12th.
Congratulations to the 9-10 Girls All-Stars for winning the District Softball title while remaining undefeated! They went to the State All-Star Tournament at District 5 (Tukahoe).
Congratulations to the 9-10 BC National Boys All-Stars for winning the District Baseball title while remaining undefeated! They went to the State All-Star Tournament at District 16 (Central Loudoun).
Congratulations to the Big League Girls for winning the District Softball title while remaining undefeated! They went to the State All-Star Tournament at District 1 (Bristol).
State All-Star Game Recap: The 9-10 Girl’s Softball All-Stars won their first game 9 to 2 against Coles, but lost their second 0 to 4 against Clintwood in Tuckahoe. They lost to McLean Sunday (7/20) and were eliminated. >> The 9-10 Boys BC National Boy’s Baseball All-Stars lost their first game 9 to 19 against Lynchburg and lost their second game 7 to 9 against Cave Spring in Central Loudoun. They lost to DTQ 0 to 1 on Sunday (7/20) and were eliminated. >> The Big League Girl’s Softball All-Starts lost their first game 0 to 2 and second game 9 to 10 against Virginia Beach in Bristol and were eliminated Sunday (7/20), losing to McLean 10 to 15. >> Click here for more All-Star information.

The David Bagley - Shane Stewart College Scholarship Fund is offering two scholarship awards (one boy’s and one girl’s) for college bound high school seniors who have played at least one year at BCLL.

Unfortunately, not enough people signed-up to form teams for the planned Memorial Day softball tournament. A number of parents expressed interest but had planned to be out of town. BCLL will try to plan for a tournament in the future. Thanks for your interest!

It has been a year now since the new website was launched (March 19, 2007). Since that time, we’ve had 524,106 hits and 59,322 visitors, and added all kinds of features for the Bennett’s Creek Little League community. Thanks for everyone’s support and encouragement!
We are no longer accepting players for regular season registration. Please contact the respective Player Agent to be put on a waiting list.

Register at our Driver Facility (click link for layout) in the Boardroom (located over concessions stand). Our registration fee is $90.00 per child. For late registrants, there will be a $20.00 late fee and will forfeit the multiple child discount.

Some of the “Other” Votes were large banners at major intersections, phone calls, Newspaper, and school announcements. Unfortunately, regarding the last suggestion, we are not able to send fliers with students at Suffolk Public Schools due to their policy.
