Home of the 2009 District Softball Tournament!

The District 6 All-Star Tournament was hosted by Bennett’s Creek this year, started on Saturday, June 27^th and, ended on Friday, July 10^th. Here are the results of the Softball tournament and BC Baseball All-Star teams:

>> The 11-12 BC National All-Star baseball team was eliminated by the BC American Team Wednesday (7/1) >> The 9-10 BC National Baseball All-Stars were eliminated by Olive Branch on Saturday (7/4) >> The 11-12 BC American Baseball All-Stars were eliminated by Charles Pete on Monday (7/6) >> The 11-12 Softball All-Stars were eliminated by Western Branch, losing 1-10 on Wednesday (7/8)

District Champs!

>> Congratulations to Wilson Softball All-Stars for winning the District 6 Tournament by beating Churchland 5-4!

>> Congratulations to Bennett’s Creek 9-10 Baseball All-Stars for winning the District 6 Tournament by going undefeated and beating Churchland 11-9!

>> Congratulations to Western Branch 11-12 Softball All-Stars for winning the District 6 Tournament by going undefeated!

>> Congratulations to Bennett’s Creek 9-10 Softball All-Stars for winning the District 6 Tournament by going undefeated and beating Western Branch 32-12!

>> Congratulations to Olive Branch’s Junior Softball All-Stars for winning the District 6 Tournament by going undefeated against Churchland!

>> Congratulations to Bennett’s Creek Big League Softball All-Stars for winning the District 6 Tournament by defeating the combined Churchland/Western Branch team 22-3!

BCLL All-Star State Tournament Summary

>> The 9-10 Softball All-Star team lost their first game against Gate City (District 1) 17-24 on Friday (7/17), won their second by eliminating Coeburn (District 13) with a score of 9-5 on Saturday (7/18), and were eliminated by Green Run (District 8) by 0-10 on Sunday (7/19).
>> The 9-10 (American) Baseball team barely lost to Chantilly (District 10) by a score of 1-2 on Saturday (7/18) and to Virginia Beach (District 8) 10-11 on Sunday (7/19). They are playing Marion (District 1) at 10:00 AM on Monday (7/20).
>> The Big League Softball lost both their games while playing in the State Tournament hosted by Virginia Beach (District 1).
